I run a group on Facebook called I Lived In Stoke Newington. It is for people who have lived in Stoke Newington. I was born here in 1952 and have lived here all my life. Clissold Park in Stoke Newington Church Street is just 2 minutes, if that, from where I have always lived. Everyone in the area loves the park which was named after Augustus Clissold. As children, most of the people in my group, including myself spent most days in the park either during the day when we were on holiday from school, or after school had finished. It is a very special place to us all and Augustus Clissold a very special person and part of our history. We have a lot of info about Augustus Clissold on the group and it would be lovely to have a photo of his grave monument. Everyone holds him in very high esteem.
